This project is a full-stack Cafe POS and Ordering System designed to handle end-to-end cafe operations, from customer self-ordering to backend inventory and administrative oversight. Built with a pay-before-preparation workflow, the system ensures seamless integration between customer transactions, real-time kitchen processing, and business reporting.
Key System Features & Functionalities
Customer Menu & Ordering: Interactive public menu featuring item categorization, custom product modifiers (size, milk type, syrup, extra shots), and a dynamic real-time JavaScript cart.
Simulated Payment & Invoicing: Integrated simulated checkout supporting cash, card, and mobile payments, complete with transaction-safe database processing and printable customer invoices (PDF-ready).
Live Order Tracking: Staff management interface to track and update live order states (preparing \rightarrow ready \rightarrow completed) with automatic inventory deduction upon order finalization.
Catalog & Category Management: Comprehensive CRUD functionality for administrators and managers to configure products, seasonal offerings, pricing, and customizable modifier groups.
Inventory & Low-Stock Alerts: Automated stock tracking with threshold-based low-stock warnings displayed directly on the staff dashboard.
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC): Multi-tier permission model strictly enforcing route access and UI controls across Cashier, Manager, and Administrator roles.
Dashboard & Business Analytics: Real-time metrics tracking daily sales volume, order counts, tips collected, category-wise breakdowns, and payment method summaries.
POS Back-Office Operations: Backend architecture supporting waste/comp logging, daily till float setups, and end-of-day cash reconciliation.
